Celebrating World Book Day with a book swap!

We really enjoyed meeting author Liz Weir who visited our school as part of our World Book Day celebrations. This was certainly an entertaining and inspiring morning!

We having been studying the book 'Storm' by Kevin Crossley-Holland. We worked in groups to put the main character Annie in the 'hot seat' and ask her how she felt about events in the story.

Writing instructions - How strong is a magnet?

We used our senses to write a poem about our favourite fruit. We examined how it looked, felt, smelt and of course tasted. We used lots of adjectives to describe the fruit. We enjoyed sharing our poems with the class.
