TENTHS AND HUNDREDTHS

P7H use number generators to practice working with numbers up to two decimal places.

BRIGHT SPARKS!

P7H really enjoyed experimenting with making circuits to see if they could get the bulb to light. The pupils soon realised that the greater the source of power, the brighter the bulbs! 💡💡

P7H OCTOBER AWARDS

P7H SEPTEMBER AWARDS

AMAZING INVENTIONS

Our new topic in Literacy, ‘Amazing Inventions’, links in very well our WAU topic on ‘The Victorians’. P7H pupils worked in groups to think of inventions and how they had changed our lives. Each group had to act out what life was like before the invention and then act out how their lives had changed. The other groups then had to guess what the invention was. Can you?

FOREST SCHOOL

We all really enjoyed getting back out into the forest in September. Pupils worked in friendship groups to collect natural materials from the forest. They were encourage to look for objects of different shapes, textures and colours. Each group then arranged their items into a design before using the KaleidaCam app on the iPad to photograph them. The results were amazing!

CONSCIENCE ALLEY

P7H pupils present their reasons as to whether or not Oliver Twist should as the Master of the orphanage for more food. Our very own ‘Oliver’ then had to make the decision whether to approach the Master to ask for food or whether to sit back in his seat. It was a very difficult decision as both groups presented their arguments very well! What would you do?

ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT SOME MORE?

After reading and discussing an extract from the classic fiction text of Oliver Twist, the pupils from P7H work in groups to note the arguments for and against Oliver asking for more food.

MENTAL MATHS GAMES

P7H pupils enjoy success at working with numbers into millions! 😀
