P1 Mrs Erskine (Term 1)

WAU/Literacy/Forest School -“Old McDonald had a farm, ei ei o, and on his farm he had some PIGS”. Mrs Erskine brought us in some piglets from her family farm. Penny and Percy enjoyed their day out to HMPS but we’re glad to get back to see their brothers and sisters and particularly their mummy! 🐖

We cooked cocktail sausages in Forest School! 🐽

WAU/Literacy - A big thank you to Mrs Cartmill for coming into school to speak to all the P1’s about APPLES! We peeled, chopped and stewed the apples Mrs Cartmill left us and cooked our very own crumble 🍎 🍏 🍎

Literacy/WAU - THE TRACTORS HAVE ARRIVED! 🚜 A huge thank you to Burkes of Cornascriebe Ltd for taking two fantastic New Holland tractors out to our school. We loved having a look inside! Thank you again!

Forest School/Literacy - We have been thinking a lot about Autumn. We gathered 3 leaves and used a hole puncher to thread a piece of wool to make a necklace!

Literacy/WAU - We have been looking at ‘The Little Red Hen’ this week! We made some scrumptious bread 🥖 🍞 it was DELICIOUS!

Mrs Devlin very kindly brought us in one of her hens from home. Thank you Mrs Devlin, you were very brave! 🐔

Literacy - We been practising our scissor control, it was harder than it looks! ✂️
