FANTASTIC NEWS FOR MRS MARKS AND OUR NURSERY UNIT!

    Dear Parent,

Every year ‘NI Families First’ run awards for staff and schools right across the education sector. This year we are delighted to inform you that Mrs Marks and her Nursery Team has been nominated and are finalists in the category for ‘Pre School/Nursey Unit.’ We are absolutely delighted for Mrs Marks and her team and know they are so deserving of this nomination. Mrs Marks has taught in our Nursery Unit for over 22 years. She is a dedicated, inspirational teacher whose primary priority is the children in her care. She is a real treasure here in Hardy Memorial.

Her nominee, a parent, described Mrs Marks as ‘an extremely warm and affectionate educator who knows her students and their parents so well, ……. the perfect example of what an early years’ educator should be ………. despite the additional needs he had last year, Mrs Marks was simply amazing …….. nothing is too much for her …. she updates parents in her own time and gives regular feedback.

Voting begins today and can be accessed by clicking on the link below and scrolling down to Pre School – Hardy Memorial Nursery Unit

We would really encourage you to vote for Mrs Marks and her team and most importantly leave a comment detailing just how she made a difference in your child’s Nursery years in Hardy Memorial.

The Awards ceremony, a glitzy occasion, takes place on Saturday 2 March in the Titanic Centre, Belfast. LET’S GET BEHIND MRS MARKS AND OUR NURSERY TEAM AND MAKE THIS A NIGHT TO REMEMBER. THANK YOU

  • Fields Of Life

    Thu 08 Feb 2024

A huge thank you to all our parents who donated at Christmas to a charity in lieu of teachers' presents. We have been able to donate £1200 to Fields of Life. Mr Angus Wilson joined us in school this morning to accept our cheque and a suitcase full of sporting and educational equipment for boys and girls that Fields of Life support. Angus will be heading to Uganda soon to deliver our suitcase! We wish him safe travels as he journeys to Uganda.

Thank you to Mrs Erskine and the Pupil Council who organised the suitcase and its contents!

  • Eco Council's new hedgerow!

    Mon 22 Jan 2024

After winning the Hedgerow Heroes competition our Eco Council started planting the hedge along our car park fence. It certainly was a cold day but we are delighted planting could go ahead. We can't wait to see what it will be like this time next year!
