Technology Tales from Primary Seven

P7H had a visit from Mr Hutchinson, a technology teacher from City of Armagh High school. When he visited, he showed the class various circuits and how to solder. We look forward to having him back soon.

Sports Day 2016

On the 7th June 2016 the P4-P7s had their annual sports day. P7H competed in a range of events that included the swag bag, standing long jump, obstacle race, class race, 200m race for the girls and 400m race for the boys. Everyone tried their very best in each event. Well done to everyone who placed and received a medal.

Working in groups, everyone worked very hard to create their robots using a range of materials. Take a look at some of the unique robots that sparked to life from our imaginations!

Gardening Growth in P7H

Gardens at the back of the school have been refurbished with new flower beds and fresh new soil from Markethill Primary School football pitch. With the help of Jonathon, an avid gardener, P7H were able to spend a day attending to the gardens. Primary 7 helped to de-weed the beds, turn and filter the soil before planting a variation of new plants that included carrots, red onions and horse radishes. Have a look at some of the fun the day entailed!

Electrifying Circuits in P7H.

As part of 'World Around Us', P7H have been looking at the topic of electricity. As part of the topic, they made circuits testing different materials and learning about being safe with electrical equipment. Take a look at some of the fantastic circuits!

Young Enterprise

Ciara and Elaine came to visit us from Young Enterprise to teach us about trading across the world. It was interesting to find out about the different produce that is traded with everyday. We investigated where  different parts of our school uniform is produced. It was amazing to see just how far some pieces have  travelled, before they come to our local shops to buy. Even our pencils can have travelled from many parts of Europe! We all enjoyed our day of group work where we played lots of games too.
