Our Numeracy Genius for March

Today is Number Day.

We have been having lots of fun playing games all about Number. There even was a number game called Vegetable Soup!

Working with shapes of nets.

We cut out nets of shapes that formed 3D shapes. Then we were able to see and count vertices, sides and edges when they were made up.

IZAK 9

IZAK 9 is a multi-media maths concept created to challenge, encourage, stretch and nourish confidence and competence in children. Children love to learn through play and this programme is proving a hit in our class!

 'Abacus' and 'Helix are the' two droids that deliver IZAK 9 from the interactive whiteboard via the internet. Children work together in small groups using real cubes to solve number, algebra, data & shape problems that are posed, but they also help develop ideas & create tasks & questions of their own.
