Rugby trip to Kingspan

Members of the rugby team in school, including some pupils from P6/7C, were invited up to the Kingspan stadium in Belfast where they were given a chance to play on the rugby field against other teams and received some advice from Andrew Trimble. The day was topped off with getting to see the Women's World Cup rugby trophy.

PSNI Internet Safety Talk

P6/7C had a surprise one morning when four PSNI officers walked into their classroom! Thankfully as part of their role in ensuring community safety, the officers had come in to talk to the class about internet safety. After talking with the class about the best ways to keep safe online, the class were shown a video that highlighted how important it is to stay safe online. The class really enjoyed the visit and really enjoyed getting to talk to the officers.

Class Trip to Benburb Castle

As part of our new topic for 'World Around Us' called 'Birds and Flight', P6/7 Collins and P6 Smyth went to Benburb Castle to learn a little more about local wildlife in the area and how to spot the different types of birds that can be seen. The classes were able to take a walk through the grounds of the castle and using binoculars, were able to see high into the trees to find the birds. P6/7 Collins really enjoyed their trip, take a look at the photos taken.
