SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN...

AS PART OF OUR ENERGY TOPIC WE EXPERIMENTED WITH CIRCUITS.

DITCH THE DARK DAY

WE WENT INTO THE FOREST TO GET IDEAS FOR A CLOSE OBSERVATION POEM. WHEN YOU LOOK AT THINGS CLOSELY YOU SEE A LOT MORE!

ANTI-BULLYING WEEK ACTIVITIES - We thought about how careless, hurtful words can really affect and damage others. We thought of harmful words and then wrote them in shaving foam. It was impossible to get the foam back into the can in the same way that hurtful words are very hard to take away.

As part of out literacy we had a class debate on the motion: “THE INTERNET HAS MADE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE.” Some of us supported the motion and others were against it. We observed rules of dialogue during the discussion and everyone’s point of view was treated with respect.

In our Literacy we took part in role-plays as interviewer and inventor. Beforehand we spent time thinking about and planning various types of questions.

MENTAL ADDITION OF SEVERAL TWO DIGIT NUMBERS - we used mental maths strategies to help us work out the answer quickly.
