P7H re-enact Act 3 Scene 1 

WORLD BOOK DAY

             The pupils in P7H made a ‘Book in a Box’ to celebrate World Book Day.

The P7 pupils brought their Book Boxes to Mrs Haires P4 class to talk about their stories.

TITANIC HOT SEATING

 

Pupils are questioned by their classmates about their time on board the Titanic when they assume the roles of Captain Smith, Thomas Andrews, J Bruce Ismay, Charles Lightoller and Molly Brown.

Pupils work in groups to draft questions about the poem. They then swapped with another group who tried to answer questions based on evidence in the text. 

STYLES OF POETRY

P7H work in groups to investigate four different poetic styles- Kennings, Narrative, Limerick and Haiku. We used a variety of research methods eg iPads, posters and poetic examples.

FREEZE FRAMES

P7H demonstrate ‘Inventions Then & Now’ and discuss how they changed our lives.

HAIKU POEMS

CLASSIC FICTION- CONSCIENCE ALLEY 

 

Pupils imagine what it would be like to be in Oliver’s situation and discuss the pros and cons of asking the Master for more food. ​​​​​  

CLASSIC FICTION- THINK, PAIR, SHARE. 

 

Pupils work together to study an extract from Oliver Twist and note features about the characters, action and location.
