‘Mo Your Own Way’ - Movember Shave-Off! 👨🏻👨🏻👨🏻

IZAK9 fun! P6S thoroughly enjoyed some Friday Numeracy challenges using our IZAK9 cubes. Competitive and educational!👌🏼

Taking Numeracy outdoors! Today P6S visited the Hardy Forest to collect leaves to measure. We’ve been working on perimeter all week, so today we used string and a ruler to measure irregular shapes such as leaves! 🍁 🌳

Making bread on an open fire, just like the Vikings!! 🔥 Great fun had by all!😀

GeoBoard Symmetry! P6S had great fun using the app GeoBoard to practise making symmetrical patterns. Very impressive!👏🏼

Forest School 🌳 P6S made masks out of leaves found during a trip to the Hardy Forest. Just in time for Halloween!

Symmetrical Creatures! Recently P6S have been learning all about symmetry in Numeracy. We used squared paper to create some weird and wonderful symmetrical creatures. 👹🤡🎃🤖

Conscience Alley! After reading about David’s dilemma over whether to help the injured German soldiers or report them to the police, we created a ‘Conscience Alley’ to help David make his decision. Some great points made and fun had by all! 🎥

Forest School 🌲 Today P6S visited the Hardy Forest in search of twigs to investigate. We made detailed drawings and looked at aspects such as shape, type of bark and buds. The boys and girls then used a Twig ID sheet to try and identify which trees their twigs came from!

Literacy - P6S have been loving their new novel, Friend or Foe. Today we wrote questions we’d like to ask one of the main characters, Davey. Some pupils even acted the role of Davey and answered questions in the hot-seat!

Feathered visitors to the Hardy Forest!🐣🐓

Forest School! 🌲 Today P6S went foraging in the Hardy forest to find natural materials in order to create a 2D Viking longboat. The boys and girls had great fun and made some fantastic boats. Check out our photos! 📸
