World Around Us
Our new topic is Alaska. We had fun researching the history of the Alaskan Flag and learning about Benny Benson, a 13 year old orphan who designed the flag. His design represents the Plough and the North Star. The Blue background represents the forget-me-not flower of Alaska. Here is a selection of photographs of our class using different materials to design our flags.
Today we had lots of fun today working in small groups to design the different types of houses we have studied - semi-detached, detached, terraced and bungalow. Have a look at some of our pictures.
Our WAU topic for this term is Houses and Homes. We were very interested to learn about houses and home in the past and we enjoyed our trip to Armagh County Museum. Sarah showed us lots of old artefacts and we have come to the conclusion that we are glad to be living in 2015! Have a look at some of our pictures.
