SCIENCE WEEK AT HARDY
5TH -9TH MARCH 2018
Primary Seven pupils introduce Science Week at assembly. All pupils in the school will take part in science experiments and investigations in their classrooms this week and will look forward to a special visit from the W5 Team on Friday.
FLOATING AND SINKING
P7H work in groups to investigate which objects will float and which will sink. They also discovered how to make an orange sink!
INTERNET SAFETY DAY
P7 listen to our local community police officers about how to stay safe on the internet.
ALL ABOARD!
P7H pupils had a fantastic day when they visited 'Titanic Belfast'. The visit included a 'Ship of Dreams' guided tour and a special visit to Titanic's 'little sister', the Nomadic.

Light bulbs shone when P7H made circuits during their topic about electricity.
Urbanisation- Pupils look at photographs and drawings of rural and urban locations before discussing and noting 'push' and 'pull' factors for living in the town/city.
Victorian Times- project work.
In the 'hot seat' as Queen Victoria, a pupil from P7H prepares to take questions from groups in the class.
Using primary sources of evidence from the National Archives to look for clues about life in Victorian Times.
P7H have a wonderful trip to the Argory as part of their topic on Victorian Times. They stepped back in time to 1847 and applied for jobs in the 'Big House'.
