March

Science Week

Finally we made mazes and tested which coins were magnetic. We used the magnetic coins to move around our mazes using a magnet. It was quite tricky!

As part of Science Week, P3 tested how to make the biggest bubbles. We used a range of materials including plastic cups, pipe cleaners, straws and string. Pupils have been sent home with their own bubbles so they can create their own bubble mixture.

World Book Day

We were very lucky to have Zack's granny, Joy come into class to read to us. She told us that she enjoyed reading Fairy Tales as a young girl. All pupils loved listening to Joy reading 'The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs'. During the course of the day, we solved fairy tale problems and even created our own fairy tales using a storyboard planner. We read our fantastic fairy tales to the rest of the class.

Problem Solving

Writing fairy tales

Presenting our fairy tales to the class.

Ordering events using a flow chart.

As part of our non-fiction text, we have using and discussing flow charts. We correctly ordered the flow chart for how to make a cake.

Problem Solving!

We are developing our problem solving strategies. It helps when we discuss our knowledge with a partner. Look at how busy we are!
