My First Day

Learning Through Play - We have enjoyed making new friends and exploring all our different areas of play!

Literacy - We have been developing our fine motor skills so we are ready to starting forming letters and numbers!

Numeracy - We added icing sugar and a sweet to our biscuit to represent and develop our understanding of one-to-one correspondence. We have also been sorting for many different criterion.

October 2023

WAU/Literacy - We have been reading the story of ‘The Little Red Hen’, Hunter’s mummy brought in their hens from home to show all the boys and girls! Their names are Vanessa and Henry. Thanks you so much!

WAU/Literacy - Following on from our visit from Vanessa and Henry, we learnt lots about what hens give us. We used the eggs in class to make scrambled egg and toast. IT WAS SCRUMPTIOUS!πŸ˜‹ πŸ₯š πŸ”

Literacy - Just like in our story of ‘The Little Red Hen’, we made bread. We followed a recipe and had tasted it with some lovely jam, we are now expert bakers 🍞 πŸ‘©‍🍳 πŸ‘¨‍🍳

WAU/Literacy - Burkes Tractors came to visit us as part of our ‘machines’ week. This was so much fun, especially when we found the hornπŸ€ͺ 🚜
