Working hard in October. Well done everyone!

We used Geoboard to create symmetrical pictures.

P6K did a fantastic job taking assembly today. We talked about facing our fears and being brave. All the pupils spoke confidently and exhibited fantastic acting skills. Well done everyone!

Compliments give us wings to fly! We discussed how to brighten someone’s day by simply giving them a compliment. Each pupil wrote down two compliments for another person in the class and designed wings for our display.

Mervyn Steenson visited school today to deliver a healthy wrap demo. Primary 6 thoroughly enjoyed our healthy snack!

Well done to our award winners!

Take Care Thursday - Making smoothies were a great way to start our day. We also welcomed the NSPCC and Sean Irving from the EA Pupil Personal Development Service into our classroom.

Well Balanced Wednesday - today we had a ‘Healthy Me’ talk by Action Mental Health and enjoyed learning about campfires with the Wandering Wild Outdoors.

Think Fit Tuesday with Joe Wicks

Jeanie Graham came in today to talk about the dangers of alcohol.

Mindful Monday - today we connected with Primary 1. We enjoyed finding out about each other and reading a book together.

One of the best things P6K have seen this month...

Primary 6 completed 'Viking Quest' this week during ICT.

We carried out a STEM enquiry to investigate why the Vikings homeland was not particularly good for farming.

To conclude our ‘Animals on the Move’ unit, P6 worked in groups to decide which animal makes the toughest migration. They had to find evidence to support their answers and present their findings to the class.

Fun with coordinates

As part of 'Animals on the Move' Wordsmith unit, P6 worked in pairs to make an animal fact file using Pic Collage.
