VISIT TO TITANIC BELFAST

P7H had a fabulous time when they visited the newly refurbished Titanic Centre in Belfast. They toured the galleries and had the opportunity to board the ‘Nomadic’ which is the last surviving ship owned by the White Star Line. The pupils were also fortunate to be invited to have their lunch on board the ‘Nomadic’ which was a really special treat.

PDMU

P7H were delighted to welcome Jeannie Graham back to Hardy to talk to the pupils about the dangers of smoking, taking illegal drugs and alcohol abuse.

CELEBRATING SCIENCE WEEK WITH A VISIT FROM SCIENTIFIC SUE

STEM

Pupils worked in pairs to develop their skills in STEM by building cars powered by elastic bands. We had a competition to see whose car travelled the longest distance.

SENTINUS

The Primary Seven pupils worked with James from Sentinus to program ‘robots’ to follow a road. The task was very difficult but the P7s had no difficulties and did a great job. They learnt that in programming you often have to go back to the drawing board and tweak instructions to get the right results!
