Term 1

We discussed how the “Star-Belly Sneetches” and the “Plain-Belly Sneetches” felt about themselves and each other. After watching the story, we shared ways that be could be kind to others both in school and at home. There were some very lovely ideas shared!

Two Special Visitors! 
 

On Thursday, the pupils were surprised to see a horse walking into school! They were very excited to meet Mrs Hutchinson and Ziggy in the playground. Mrs Hutchinson was able to share some important information with us linked to our learning in numeracy and WAU. Thank you for calling in to visit us! 

Grace Darling

Click on the links below to find out more about a very brave lady who saved many people in 1838! Grace Darling was the first woman to receive a RNLI medal. Queen Victoria even sent her £50! 

Pupils worked in small groups to create a Freeze Frame for different parts in the story of Grace Darling. Look at our fantastic facial expressions!

Jack and the Beanstalk

 

We have been exploring the story of Jack and the Beanstalk in Literacy. Pupils can access the video clips through Active Learn at home. As part of our work, we discussed the setting, characters and events from the story. Pupils had an excellent knowledge and understanding of these key features.
