Espresso videos which taught us the importance of having a standard unit when measuring.
Comparing weights of objects. Do they weigh more than, less than or the same as 1kg? What weighs more than, less than or the same as 500g?
A race against time!  We all had great fun matching the analogue and digital times.  It was great fun because the quicker you were the more points you scored.
We enjoyed finding a half and a quarter of a number and a shape.
Finding specific dates by reading clues and placing counters on the correct dates on the calendar. We had great fun working together but also competing to be first to place the counters!

A New Year a new calendar! Looking for patterns and understanding more about layout by completing calendar work.

Using the problem solving strategy - create a table.  The table was used to record information for an experiment in our WAU topic Marvellous Me. We tried to guess the name of five things by only using our sense of smell.  It proved quite challenging!

Money, money, money ......

 

We were able to use least coins to make certain amounts of money.
