WAU
STEM experiment ‘Rainstorm in a jar’ as part of our Weather topic. We had a science lesson learning about the Water Cycle and we learnt how rain forms. This experiment helped deepen the children’s understanding of weather in a fun and exciting way.
ICT
We collected data about favourite ice cream flavours. We were able to navigate Just2Easy and import our data into a table and produce a bar chart. Using ‘Mix’ we were able to comment on our data.
Numeracy
We enjoyed learning about shapes that tessellate. We created our own patterns out of shapes.
Sports Day
A great day of enjoyment at our Primary 4 Sports Day. We all took part in running and novelty races and a throwing competition.
WAU
As part of our Houses and Homes topic we took a walk around the village to observe different house types. We produced a tally chart and found that the most popular house type in the area we observed was terraced.
PE
We had a very intense workout session in the Recreation Centre with the Healthy Kidz coach.
Forest School
As part of our Eco Warriors topic we learnt about animal habitats. We thought carefully about the size of the animal when we created the habitat.
Literacy
We enjoyed learning about synonyms and sorting challenging words.
Peace Plus
We enjoyed getting out in the sun to complete a maths trail and making endangered animal masks with our friends from St Patrick’s PS ➗☀️🐘
Numeracy
Using 3D shapes to build models. We recognised and made prisms.
Forest School
Using natural found objects in Forest School to help us understand division 🌿🌳
Peace Plus
We had a brilliant day of Shared Education with St Patrick’s, exploring endangered animals and collaborating to design creative posters 🐯🐢🐅
P.E
We completed 8 weeks of hockey with Christine and were delighted to receive our certificates and celebrate our well deserved star players. Congratulations! 🏑🌟
