Term 3

Literacy - We started our ‘Growing Chocolate’ ebook and determined whether statements about chocolate were true or false.

Numeracy - We played ‘Race to 0’ in order to practise our subtraction.

Forest School 🌲 - We created symmetrical pictures using leaves.

Forest School 🌲 - We used natural materials to decorate faces that represent different emotions.

Literacy - We compared the characters of Marcie and Armitage from our new eBook: ‘The Whole Truth’ by Joanna Nadin

Numeracy - We worked together to create tessellating patterns.

Numeracy - We created symmetrical patterns.

Forest School 🌲 - We created symmetrical pictures using natural materials.

Numeracy - We created symmetrical pictures using cuisenaire rods.

Numeracy - We practised exchanging 10 units for 1 tower of ten and raced to see who could reach 100 first!

Numeracy - We developed our understanding of place value by representing the tens and units for different numbers using cuisenaire rods.

Forest School 🌲 - We had a lot of fun completing a ‘Numeracy Trail’ created by Mrs Rooney and Mrs McKenna!

Literacy - We created statements, commands, questions and exclamations about different fairytale pictures.

Numeracy - We enjoyed using the number spots to find odd and even numbers outdoors.

Forest School 🌲 - In groups, we worked together to build a strong and stable structure to represent a castle. We used bamboo canes, garden wire ties and masking tape.

Numeracy - We compared numbers by creating the >, < and = symbols.

Forest School 🌲 - We created crowns using natural materials.
