The Great Debate. As part of our Literacy we debated the motion ‘The Internet has made the World a Better Place’. We looked at debating and public speaking skills and evaluated some of the most famous speeches of all time. We listened to Michelle Obama and Dr Martin Luther King and his famous ‘I Have a Dream’ speech. It was a very lively morning of debating as we all have our speeches as the opposition or proposition and raised points of order. Poor Mr Collins had a hard time as the Chairman!
