Literacy/WAU: We can talk about the lifecycle of an apple, how and where apples grow, how they are harvested and what you can use them for. We made scrumptious apple crumble with our apples, 🍎 🍏
Coffee Morning and Grandparents Day 2025
Science/WAU: MAGIC MILK 🥛 🧪 We have been learning about machines and milking cows. We now know that cows get milked in the milking parlour, their milk goes to the creamery to be pasteurised and then makes it way to our shops. We used milk, food colouring and fairy liquid for our science experiment. When the fairy liquid touches the milk, it separates the water and fat. It made colourful swirls!
Literacy: Burkes tractors came to visit P1 and inspired our writing for the day!
Numeracy: Subitising 1,2 and 3
Numeracy: Forming numerals 1,2 &3
Numeracy: We sorted 1,2,3 representation cards in groups.
Numeracy/Forest School: We read the story ‘Guess How Much I Love You’, we listened and picked out the mathematical language in the story. We went on a hunt to find big, small, tall and short objects!

Numeracy: Number 1 is like a stick, straight down, nice and quick! Primary 1 have been busy representing 1, looking at the composition of 1 and learning to write the numeral 1.
WAU/Forest School: Our first Forest School Friday, we talked about the rules and boundaries in Forest School. We enjoyed our time to explore the new surroundings!
