For one of our STEM activities this term we were given the task of making a crocodile whose mouth can open. We worked in groups with different roles, planned the crocodiles and then used resources to build them. We learnt about levers, hinges, pulleys and push and pull forces.
A visit from the the Fire Service where we were given all sorts of advice about fire safety.
Our visit with a local author, Declan, who explained how authors get their ideas and the language they use in stories.
Celebrating Maths Week with our outdoor maths trail. We investigated 2D and 3D shapes and used trundle wheels to measure perimeters.
Our Richhill Walking Tour. We looked at the history of Richhill and the mixture of old and new buildings. We noticed the large amount of services and the historical buildings.
