Term 2

Numeracy - We matched multiplication sums to the corresponding multiplication sum.

Numeracy - We represented multiplication sums by making arrays using counters.

Forest School 🌲 - We created 2D shapes using natural materials.

Forest School 🌲 - We created stick soldiers using natural materials and included armour.

Numeracy - We used stencils to explore the concept of 2D shapes.

A.B.L. - Castles (Week 1)

Forest School 🌲 - In groups, we worked together to build forts using branches, blocks, tarpaulin, camouflage netting and rope. Miss Hunter helped us to consider the walls, roof and base.

Numeracy - We matched arrays to the correct sentence.

Numeracy - In pairs, we determined whether objects were more or less than 1m long.

Literacy - In pairs, we sorted sentences about ‘Owl Babies’ into present and past tense.

Literacy - In groups, we determined whether nouns needed ‘-s’ and ‘-es’ in order to make them plural.

A.B.L. - Birds (Weeks 4 & 5)

Forest School 🌲 - We made ‘transient’ art of different birds using natural materials.

Numeracy - We practised recognising o’clock and half past by playing a fun board game.

A.B.L. - Birds (Week 1)

Forest School 🌲 - We built bird nests using natural materials.

Literacy - We answered questions in the ‘Hot-Seat’ from the perspective of the babies and mother from ‘Owl Babies’. We also created ‘Freeze Frames’, focusing on our facial expressions.

Numeracy - We practised counting 10 more or less than by playing ‘Chopper Squad’ on TopMarks.
