Term 2

We have been investigating the properties of 3D shapes. We examined different nets and used them to create our own 3D models.

We had a very busy day creating masterpieces inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night. Thank you to Nick McKnight and the art students from Armagh SRC for helping us.

As part of our STEM focus, we designed, built and tested model shadufs - just like those used in Ancient Egyptian times to lift water from the River Nile for irrigation. Throughout the project we demonstrated creativity, perseverance and strong problem-solving skills. We then presented our findings to the class. We explained what worked well, what challenges we faced and how we improved our designs.

Celebrating Safer Internet Day by discussing the safe and responsible use of AI.

Congratulations to our Accelerated Reader certificate winners!

Congratulations to our January prize winners!

We have been busy exploring fractions in a fun and practical way! We worked together in groups to design, build and label our very own fraction robots.

We were encouraged to think carefully about how shapes can be divided into equal parts and how those parts relate to a whole.

We were very proud of the results.
