Term 3

Sports Day 2025

Forest School/W.A.U.
We had an exciting day releasing our butterflies! P1 have loved learning about the butterfly lifecycle and watching it unfold in real time 🐛➡️🦋

Celebration Assembly

Well done to our May winners ⭐️👏

World Around Us
We have loved watching our class caterpillars grow this week. We were so excited to see them hang upside down and form cocoons. Today, we moved them from their jar into a pop-up habitat 🐛 We can’t wait to see them complete their transformation into butterflies 🦋

Literacy
We have been practising using our sounds and HFW to spell words and write sentences independently ✏️

Music

P1 had great fun learning a new song with Miss Grant this week 🎶

Literacy

The Very Hungry Caterpillar 🐛. We tasted a variety of different fruits before deciding which fruit was our favourite. We then wrote a sentence about it 🍏🍌🍓

Literacy/Forest School

The Very Hungry Caterpillar 🐛 We whittled sticks and made caterpillars 🌳

Learning Through Play

P1 have been loving learning all about minibeasts for our topic this term 🦋🐛 We’ve enjoyed going for bug hunts, working in the garden shop and painting minibeast pictures during play 🎨
