New Principal

I am absolutely delighted to have been appointed as Principal of the Hardy Memorial and look forward, with enthusiasm, to taking up post in September.

I know Richhill well having lived in the locality for over 18 years with my husband Mark and children Beccy, Michael and James. Central to our lives in Richhill has been worshipping in the Methodist Church. Following graduation from Stranmillis College I taught in Millington Primary before moving to the Armstrong Primary School, Armagh, as Vice Principal teaching P6 and 7 for 10 years. For the last 3 years I have been a non-teaching Vice Principal in Millington.

I have a keen interest in all sports having played, umpired and coached at Armagh Hockey Club. I enjoy following rugby and football and admit quietly to being a Liverpool supporter! During my teaching career I have not only coached sport but have enjoyed involvement in musicals, technology/ Formula 1 clubs, Eco schools etc. Providing wide ranging opportunities for our children is paramount to their self-esteem and success.

I wish to thank Mr Woods for his lifetime of dedication to the Hardy. He has left an excellent school with a great reputation in the community. I believe I can continue to build upon this firm foundation, together with the talented staff team and community, to ensure the future is bright for our children in Richhill.
