  • A Royal Salute for a fine young gentleman!

    Wed 11 Nov 2015

One Hardy pupil will never forget their experience over Remembrance weekend this year! Our P3 pupil paraded down Whitehall with all the veterans and covered the entire route! He got an amazing reaction from the crowd, with people clapping and cheering at him and taking his picture.

He was snapped several times by Daily Mail and an article was written by their columnist.  His picture also appeared in the Wall Street Journal,  the Independent, Daily Telegraph and main Canadian websites. Prince William even winked and saluted him at Horse Guards Parade.

It was the highlight of a very memorable and poignant weekend. On Saturday, he was asked to join in with a number of Remembrance Services in Westminster Abbey and was asked by a man in his 80's , a veteran, to lay a cross for his relative in the plot at the Abbey. He was even recognised at the hotel in his normal clothes!

Well done we are extremely proud of you!!
