  • Golden Ticket Winners

    Thu 23 Feb 2017

Well done to our P5 pupils who are racing onto the Golden Ticket Wall with Accelerated Reader! We now have pupils who have read over twenty books and quizzed correctly on those books from late October. That is a tremendous achievement! Well done to Mrs Clarke who runs the scheme and actively promotes reading among our P5's. Miss Armstrong and Mr Glenny are working hard to encourage all our pupils and it really is paying dividends!

We have recently invested in a large number of new books for the AR library and hope to extend the scheme next year to P5 & 6!

  • P6/7 Assembly

    Mon 06 Feb 2017

Mr Collins' class took assembly this morning based on resolving conflict and being able to show love to your neighbour. Having studied the book, 'Oranges In No Man's Land' based on children living in the Lebanon, they compared it to NI and then to the parable of the Good Samaritan.

All pupils participated and spoke out clearly and confidently. Well done!

    Sun 05 Feb 2017
MUSFA 5 a-side festival took place at the Football Warehouse, Portadown. The whole team played very well, winning their first game against Millington 1-0 thanks to an Adam Megaw penalty with the last kick of the game. In the second game, goalkeeper Carson Jennett produced a number of fine saves to ensure we drew 0-0 with Seagoe. In the third game we lost narrowly 1-0 to Bocombra.

All boys did very well and they are improving with every tournament.

Team: Carson Jennett, James Beattie, Timothy Macgregor, Adam Megaw, Joel Coert, Jack Graham, Chris Hollywood.
  • School Choir Of The Year!

    Sun 05 Feb 2017
Our Senior Choir attended the regional heats of BBC Radio Ulster School Choir Of The Year in Armagh. They made it through to the regional heats having recorded a CD at the initial audition stages. The children sang so well and were great ambassadors for the school. Five of  our girls, were interviewed for the radio broadcast, Alicia, Anna, Caitlyn, Rebecca and Rebekah. We were so proud of them. They talked about how they enjoy singing together and how singing makes them feel good about themselves. They were able to talk about the songs they had chosen and why they enjoyed them. It was great to see and hear other choirs too. Mrs Marks and Mr Glenny were very happy with the judge's comments - lots of praise for our great rhythm and tuneful unison singing. We can't announce the results yet, you'll have to tune into BBC Radio Ulster on 19th March!! Well Done!!smiley
