P6s at Shannaghmore,
Wed 19 Sep 2018What a great start to our Shannaghmore trip! Despite the winds at home we made it to the top of a mountain. This evening the kids took part in archery and the famous nightline! All kids having a ball, now time for supper.

P6K Shannaghmore Day 2
Tue 18 Sep 2018The sun is shining at Shannaghmore! Everyone is in good spirits after having a hearty breakfast and completing an adventure walk this morning at Tollymore.
We all had an exciting and challenging afternoon taking on the high ropes course and exploring the Mourne mountains.
What a fantastic last evening! P6K got competitive during our quiz night and rose to the challenge of composing and performing their own Shannaghmore songs.

P6K Shannaghmore Day 1
Mon 17 Sep 2018P6 have arrived safely at Shannaghmore. We got our rooms organised and collected our equipment before lunch. Everyone enjoyed the chips and fish fingers, some people even had seconds which was a good idea as we knew we had a busy afternoon ahead of us.
All groups headed to Bloody Bridge for wet bouldering!
We finished off day 1 with an evening beach walk at Murlough bay and supper back at base.

On behalf of Charlene’s Project Janice Barr would like to pass on her thanks to all the teachers and pupils of Hardy Memorial. The 6 schools in Uganda are so grateful for it all. Thanks again for supporting a charity very close to our hearts.

Assembly Presentations
Mon 17 Sep 2018Today we were delighted to have Naomi in from Richhill Methodist. She reminded us of the power of words and how it was important to say kind, uplifting words to others.
We also presented our Pupil and Eco Council as well as our Digital Leaders with their badges. We look forward to an exciting year with them at the helm!

Harvesting our vegetable beds!
Thu 30 Aug 2018It was great to be back to school and see what had grown so fantastically over the Summer months. We had carrots, cabbages, onions, beetroot, scallions, apples and a great variety of herbs. We have yet to harvest our potatoes. It was great to be able to hand over so much of our produce to the school canteen who will use them over the nest few days. -
School Starts back Wed 29th August!
Thu 23 Aug 2018School starts back for all P2 - 7 pupils on Wednesday 29th August. We trust everyone had a lovely summer and are now ready for all the fun and work of a new school term.
P1 parent interviews and start dates already timetabled.
REMINDER: No buses will be available on Wednesday 29th or Thursday 30th or Friday 31st.
Healthy breaks available from Wednesday 29th.

P7 Prize Day & Aladdin Performance
Tue 26 Jun 2018Well done to our fantastic P7 pupils who preformed tremendously in their Aladdin Production. This was then followed by our P7 Prize Giving' Thankyou to all those parents who donated new trophies and shields we are indebted to you all. -
Armagh Food Bank
Sat 23 Jun 2018Some of P6K had been researching poverty in Northern Ireland with Mr. Gibson. They wanted to help and decided to have a food collection for Armagh Food Bank. We would like to thank everyone for their very kind donations.

Athletics Success!
Fri 22 Jun 2018A massive well done to our boys and girls from P5, 6 and 7 who won the Markethill Primary School Mini-Olympics, retaining the shield for the third year in a row! Pupils took part in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay races as well as the long jump, high jump and bean bag throw. All boys and girls competed fantastically well, supported each other and were gracious in victory. A great day all round!
