  • Primary 1E - Science Week

    Tue 18 Mar 2025 L Erskine

Science Week - We have been looking at one of our favourite fairytale stories this week. Can you guess what it is by looking at our pictures? Primary 1 arrived into school during the week to find a beanstalk, a letter and a pair of boots stuck in the roof tiles! The poor giant had got stuck in our roof. We read the letter together and discovered that we had lots of tasks to complete! As part of Science Week, the giant left us a letter to ask us to investigate and predict what would happen with the magic beans, we took the beans and planted them in Forest school. We now know that we need water, nutrients, light and air for our beans to grow 🌱 .

  • Science Week - P6G/A

    Sat 15 Mar 2025

P6G/A created their own volcanoes! We learnt why chemical reactions happen and how the intensity of these reactions is affected by the volume of chemicals added. We mixed baking soda and vinegar in varying quantities and watched as our volcanoes erupted! We have learnt, as part of our Japan topic,  how its position along the boundary of four tectonic plates means that it has a lot of active volcanoes. We loved Science Week!
