• What a trip to Microsoft Dreamspace!

  Our P6 & 7 digital leaders had an amazing experience today visiting Micosoft headquarters in Dublin - Dreamspace! They enjoyed a tour of the building, completed coding tasks and were able to see the real work that happens in this mega space! An added bonus was pizza and chips! Thank you again to Mrs McClughan for organising and to Daniel in the AMMA centre who made it all possible!

  Congratulations to our P6 pupil who starred in Virgin Media's Minnie Driver movie! A fabulous gala performance with the stars. Well done pictures are just amazing!

  

• Girls and Boys Hockey Tournament

  Congratulations to our boys and girls hockey teams who play extremely well at their Mid Ulster Qualifying tournaments. A superb effort by both teams.

  

• Farewell to Mr Speers & Mrs Hutchinson

  Last Friday Hardy Memorial said farewell to Mr J Speers and Mrs P Hutchinson who have each served 40 years on our Board of Governors. We thanked them for their service to the school and community and wished them well. Our choir sang and Pupil Council delivered a poem which they had jointly written. Mrs Anderson took all on a journey through the history of our school in the 40 years Mr Speers and Mrs Hutchinson had been there. We celebrated successes, challenges and achievements throughout their tenure. We reflected on the superb commitment of Mr Speers in his role as Chairman of the Board in the last 10 years and Mrs Hutchinson on the caring and supportive role she had exhibited to all over the years.

• EASTER ESTIMATION CHALLENGE KS2

  As  Easter approaches we will be setting our KS2 pupils an 'Easter Estimation Challenge' which requires them to use all their measuring skills to work out a real life measuring problem around school. This was our first week and the mathematical brains were in overdrive.

• CELEBRATION ASSEMBLY CERTIFICATE WINNERS!

  Congratulation's to our pupils who received their certificates this morning for January. We are delighted to see so many deserving recipients. The boys an girls received awards for Helpfulness and Good Manners, Literacy, Numeracy, ICT and Handwriting. Our new Handwriting Hero Award to reflect one of targets for the year.

   

   

  

• Digital Leaders Training with Grainne

  A huge thank you to Grainne and the AMMA centre who arranged for our Digital Leaders to have training in new Digital Art apps. The leaders were fantastic and we have no doubt they will enjoy teaching their new skills to the rest of the pupils in school. 

  

• Final Cross Country Competition!

  Congratulations to the cross country team who performed superbly in the final race of the season at The Palace Stables, Armagh.
