Girls Football Success!!
Tue 21 Mar 2017Seven girls from P6 and P7 did fantastically well to secure joint second place in the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon area Futsal competition at Tandragee Recreation Centre. The girls narrowly missed out on a place in the final on goal difference by just one goal!
In total we played five games, winning three, losing just one and drawing against eventual champions, Bleary. Every one of the girls did themselves and Hardy proud with their skill on the pitch and behaviour off it.
Goals on the day came from Naomi Wall, Beth Whyte, Emily Armstrong and Rebecca Kenny.
Special word of thanks to Emily Jones for coaching the girls and accompanying us to the tournament today.
Squad: Grace Clarke, Alexandra Hall, Susannah Wilson, Beth Whyte, Emily Armstrong, Naomi Wall and Rebecca Kenny.

Defibrillator arrives at Hardy Memorial!
Thu 16 Mar 2017A huge thankyou to Mrs Young, a member of the PTA, who managed to secure a defibrillator for our school. This was donated by Heartbeat NI Charity and will be located in the school staffroom. All staff will shortly receive training on it. The defibrillator was presented to the school by Irwyn, a long serving volunteer for Heartbeat NI. We hope that in the near future we will be able to support them in some small way with their charity. -
Activ Travel Superheroes!!
Thu 16 Mar 2017Congratulations and well done to our P3-7 pupils who took part in the challenge. 55% of our pupils were able to complete the 10 active journeys within 15 days. A huge thankyou to Mr Smyth who organised the event through Dave Wiggins and Sustrans Travel. All those who took part were then entered into a prize draw for Easter Eggs. Dave also donated two hugely popular new books as prizes and they were won by a P3 and P6 child. Incidentally 75% of P3 pupils took part. That was a fantastic effort.
Thankyou once again to all our parents who supported their children. We will now move on to our final initiative - THE BIG PEDAL! Little steps help to reduce congestion and ease traffic problems, let us work together to continue improving this.

Golden Ticket Winners
Thu 23 Feb 2017Well done to our P5 pupils who are racing onto the Golden Ticket Wall with Accelerated Reader! We now have pupils who have read over twenty books and quizzed correctly on those books from late October. That is a tremendous achievement! Well done to Mrs Clarke who runs the scheme and actively promotes reading among our P5's. Miss Armstrong and Mr Glenny are working hard to encourage all our pupils and it really is paying dividends!
We have recently invested in a large number of new books for the AR library and hope to extend the scheme next year to P5 & 6!
