  • Cool FM's Spelling Bee!

    Three young ladies from P7 had a fantastic morning out of school meeting Rebekah from Cool FM. They were at Carrick Primary School to take part in the Eason Spelling Bee County Finals. Well done to our star 'Spelling Bee' P7 pupil who performed brilliantly against 14 other competitors. The words were extremely difficult for all competitors. All returned with foodie bags and our competitor with a certificate and new dictionary!

  • Nicole creates her own 'Bug Hotel'

    Eco Council are working towards creating their own bug hotel in the school grounds. This will be used by various year groups to explore minibeasts etc. Nicole who is part of the Eco Club has been enjoying this so much she asked her sister Olivia to help create a bug hotel in their own garden. They has done a brilliant job. Well done girls!!
  • Hockey Success In Decor Trophy!

    Congratulations to the boys' hockey team who beat Hart Memorial Primary School 3-0  in the quarter final of the Décor Trophy. The boys will now play Seagoe primary in the semi final!
  • Hockey Success In Armagh!!!

    Congratulations to our boys and girls hockey teams who performed superbly in the George Compston Memorial Hockey Tournament. The girls were sitting in silver medal position until the last match and were unlucky to finish in 3rd place. They were superb throughout the tournament. The boys won all their matches except a draw against  Armstrong PS. However they secured the gold medal and trophy on goal difference. A super effort fantastic work!!!

     

    A special well done to James Evans  who won 'Player Of The Tournament' - definitely one to watch for the future!!!

  • Tree Planters Swing Into Action!

    Well done to the Eco Council who spent yesterday afternoon planting trees as part of Peace Forest Ireland. The bank opposite the Sleepy Valley entrance is now fully planted with oak, silver birch, holly trees etc!!

    Well done to our Award Winners for March! Special mention to our Accelerated Reader Target Certificate winners - this is brilliant work!!

    Congratulations also to Rebecca Kenny and Amy Glass who achieved fantastic results in their Music Exams.

  • Last Push For The Big Pedal!!

    We have only two days left of our BIG PEDAL Challenge and already we are doing brilliantly. We are currently sitting court in the list of schools in the ABC Council area. One big last push for the final two days may see us break into the top three. A huge thank you to all our parents who have supported their children in allowing them to cycle and scoot to school. It has been a tremendous effort. Well done!!
  • Choir success at Portadown Festival!

    Congratulations to our fantastic choir who won 1st place at Portadown Festival. Well done to Mrs Marks and Mr Glenny. The choir sang beautifully and were awarded a huge shield.
  • Girls Hockey Success!

    Congratulations to our girls' hockey team who played superbly in the Mid Ulster hockey tournament. The girls secured wins over Edenderry Banbridge and Drumgor. Scoreless draw against Maralin and Edenderry Portadown, left them joint first in their group. Unfortunately they didn't go through to the semi finals as they were beaten on goal difference. The girls played superbly and enjoyed an afternoon of competitive hockey at the highest level. Well done girls!
  • P3C Springtime Assembly!

    Well done to Mrs Campbell's P3 who treated us to a lovely assembly about Springtime. Singing and speaking parts were so well executed. Fantastic work well done!!
